For this Scandinavian-style home, we designed the kitchen around natural oak, soft curves, and practical storage.

The oak cabinets set a warm tone, and the island became the piece that anchors the room. Its curved form breaks up the straight cabinet lines, while the fluted fronts add texture without overpowering the design.

We also extended the storage into the living area with a built-in tall unit just outside the kitchen. Inside, an illuminated bar adds a small surprise and makes the piece feel more considered.

Salone del Mobile 2026 gave Corner a closer look at where kitchen design is moving next.

This year, our designer Agustina Ricci visited Milan for Salone del Mobile and EuroCucina for the first time, exploring how leading brands are approaching the kitchen as part of everyday life at home.

Across the fair, the strongest ideas went beyond finishes or statement details. They pointed toward kitchens that feel more useful, more personal, and more connected to the rest of the home.

Agustina returned with new references and observations to bring into Corner’s design process and future projects.

Deep navy cabinetry and a fluted oak island anchor the room, topped with a glossy, marble-effect Dekton countertop that shifts in the light.

Japandi at heart, it’s warmed up with fluted glass uppers and brass details. The original floors stayed, and the kitchen was designed to work with the appliances already in place—cohesive, practical, and easy to live with.
