Happy Mother’s Day 🤍

Of all the roles I hold in life, being a mom to my two sons will always be the most meaningful. I feel endlessly blessed to be their mother and grateful every day for the love, laughter, perspective, and joy they bring into my life.

At Jessica Margot Design, we’re endlessly inspired by women who balance strength and softness so effortlessly, creating lives and homes rooted in connection, care, and intention.

Wishing all the incredible mothers, grandmothers, mother figures, and caregivers a beautiful Mother’s Day filled with love, appreciation, and moments that feel as special as you are. 🤍

Not every transformation requires a full gut renovation. In this home, we focused on a thoughtful, layered refresh—introducing new paint, refined flooring and stain updates, wallpaper, lighting, hardware, and select cabinetry enhancements.

The result is a complete shift in how the home feels—elevated, cohesive, and entirely reimagined without starting from scratch. Swipe to see the before and after transformation.

At Jessica Margot Design, we believe impactful design can happen at many levels, and a well-executed facelift can be just as powerful as a full renovation.

This is what we mean when we say every room deserves intention. The arched window, the chandelier, the botanical wallpaper… nothing here is an accident. This bath was designed to feel like a gift you give yourself every single morning. 🤍

In honor of Women’s History Month, this is a tribute to the women who defined design long before it was recognized — the ones who transformed spaces into something deeply personal, intentional, and alive.

I’ve loved design since I was a little girl, rearranging furniture in my room and chasing a feeling I didn’t yet have words for. Growing up as a first-generation American, shaped by European culture and an innate eye for beauty, I learned early on how much a space can influence how we live and feel. These are the women who shaped that instinct, who paved the way, and whose influence continues to define what it means to create a home today.

Their legacy lives on, not just in history but in every space I have the privilege to design.

Swipe to meet the women who built this industry. ✨

We love how this custom designed walnut-stained entertainment unit anchors the room with warmth, depth, and functionality.

Reeded wood cabinetry adds texture and depth, paired with brushed brass hardware for a refined contrast. A honed marble top brings natural movement, while integrated LED light strips create a soft, architectural glow. Textured wallpaper finishes the backdrop, layering subtle dimension behind every shelf.

Beautiful design should feel seamless — functional storage, thoughtful materials, and quiet luxury come together in one cohesive statement wall.

February is the month of love, and we’re loving pink in its most elevated form. From blush stone and rose-toned cabinetry to soft curves and warm finishes, these pink-inspired rooms show how the color brings depth, character, and quiet confidence to a space. Pink doesn’t mean feminine. It means intentional, modern, and timeless.

Save this for pink design inspiration, and share it with someone who appreciates a beautifully done pink room.

Brown is the new black. In design, it offers the same depth and versatility as black, but with far more warmth. Brown grounds a space, softens contrast, and brings a sense of richness that feels lived in rather than stark. From deep wood tones to earthy textiles, it creates rooms that feel elevated, balanced, and inviting.

Scroll through to see some of our favorite brown rooms that feel both current and timeless. Be sure to save this post for inspiration. 🤎

Ground your space with earthy tones. Warm neutrals, rich greens, and layered browns bring depth, calm, and a sense of permanence to a home. These elevated, earthy tones are the colors we are loving for 2026. Rooted, refined, and endlessly livable.

This project was a truly meaningful transformation. One of the biggest challenges — and joys — was working with a large amount of existing furniture from our clients’ former home. Because the new house is on a much smaller scale, it became a bit like a puzzle: thoughtfully selecting the right pieces and space-planning them so everything felt intentional and cohesive.

We carried over cherished rugs, art, and lighting so the home would still feel familiar and comforting, even as our clients embraced this new chapter. Some of the rugs were even resized so they could be reused seamlessly in the new spaces.

The home originally felt dark, with heavy wood paneling and deep tones throughout. Our goal was to lighten and brighten the space, creating a fresh, airy feel while still honoring the home’s original character. We updated areas that felt dated, including custom vanities in both first-floor powder rooms and reimagining a crystal room to create beautiful, functional storage.

One of the most dramatic moments was relocating a large, sentimental crystal chandelier from the clients’ former entryway. Due to its scale, it was brought into the home by crane — and it instantly transformed the foyer, adding light, elegance, and a true sense of arrival.

Throughout the home, we layered in wallpaper to add texture and dimension while keeping everything light, fresh, and timeless. The result is a home that still holds so many meaningful elements from where our clients raised their children, now thoughtfully updated and perfectly suited for this next chapter.

I’m honored to be featured in Sheridan Road Magazine’s December/January Home Tour and deeply grateful to my incredible team, along with the talented vendors and partners whose collaboration helped bring this home to life.
