A major transformation is underway at Westmoreland Country Club, and we are thrilled to share it with you! ⛳

This club has such a special history, and we feel so lucky to be part of its next chapter. Reimagining the clubhouse is just the beginning, and we can’t wait to bring our vision to life.

The East and West porches are getting a moody makeover inspired by the feel of a London pub. Just outside, a new cocktail terrace will open everything up and create an easy flow between the clubhouse and the outdoors. We can already picture the drinks being poured! ✨

Follow along for more behind-the-scenes peeks as we get to work!

Welcome to Lake Forest. 💙

We are thrilled to debut this home as it is one that we hold so dearly. Being asked to return to a client’s home years after completing the first project was so incredibly special. And to be able to shoot with the talented and styled by the wonderful Anita Sarsidi was the cherry on top.

We can’t wait to show you more of this home and the thoughtful work our team poured into it. ✨

🇨🇭Zurich - Bern - Wengen - Lake Como - Milan 🇮🇹

Travel is fuel for the soul and this past trip was one for the books!

Kicked off our road trip at chic La Réserve Eden au Lac Zurich , quick overnight stop in Bern at Bellevue Palace Bern , up into the Alps at Grand Hotel Belvedere ★★★★★ , crossed the border to Lake Como at dreamy Passalacqua and then in Milan at the Park Hyatt Milano for a power day of shopping.

So many glorious sites, inspiration, food and people along the way and fortunate to have shared the experience with our good pals Douglas E. Smith and Timothy Cook. Time to detox! 😵‍💫

Say hello to Emily, the talented Associate Principal here at James Thomas.💙 Emily has been a part of our team for over a decade and brings a love of classic design and a thoughtful eye for detail to every project.

She loves renovations and seeing a room transform piece by piece during site visits. When she’s not creating beautiful spaces for her clients, you can find her spending time with her family!

Welcome to our Michigan home!🤍

It was such a pleasure to welcome Homeworthy back into our home, just two years after they toured our home in Chicago.

Michigan has become a place of peace and relaxation for us. We love coming here to recharge and spend time together, and we are so excited to share it with you.

Watch the full tour on Homeworthy’s YouTube channel!

Art has the ability to change more than a wall. 🤍

The right piece can shift the feeling of an entire room and tells a story about the people who call it home. Over time, those pieces become part of the story of the house itself.

We’re never quite ready to say goodbye to summer in Chicago. Then the first crisp fall day arrives and suddenly cozying up on the couch all day sounds pretty perfect🍂

We’re ready for you, fall!

Yesterday was one of those days that reminded us just how much we love being part of Chicago’s design community. We began with a live podcast recording, stopped to see some friends around The Mart, joined an afternoon panel, and ended the day at The Designer Link.

It was a full day, made even more meaningful by the people we shared it with. Come along with us for Design Chicago. 💙

Twenty-three years, countless hairstyles, and finally learning to wear a belt for photos. Thankfully, our fashion choices improved just in time for our new headshots!

Swipe through the years and look out for the headshot that looks suspiciously similar to an early 2000s movie. Hollywood missed its chance, so we had a little fun on our own 🤗

There’s always more happening behind the scenes than what makes it into the final edit. 😉

We love sharing the beautiful spaces, but this team is always laughing and having fun along the way!
