Back in September while members of the Akahoshi team were traveling in Japan, Siren Betty did a little renovation on the front of the restaurant. ⁠

This Saturday, October 17th from 10am to 2pm we're hosting our SBD Flea Market at our studio at Logan Firehouse, 2737 West Diversey Ave.

What will you find there? Vintage furniture pieces, art, vases, light fixtures, rugs, wallpaper remnants, tile, and all kinds of goodies from our many thrifting adventures.

Design details at Guillotine that you might not have noticed...

(We're not taking it personally, btw. Your attention was probably occupied by the bread and patisserie, which, frankly, is exactly where it should be.)

The copper counter, handcrafted with love by Dollyfox Metal Works is the perfect backdrop for Guillotine's gorgeous pastries. And check out that LED detail at the toekick.

References to French Neoclassical romanticism in the art, detailed mouldings and limewash wall finish.

Modern industrial influences in the lighting, stainless steel and black tile.

The windows into the kitchen with LED surround. Because those bakers are too talented to be hidden in the backrooms.
