It's hard to believe this sexy little corner bar used to be a bank, complete with Millennial grey color palette, honey wood paneling and school bus yellow accent walls (but of course).

Now as Double Fun, the space is layered with texture, pattern and color. A balance of glamor and grittiness. They won't give you a mortgage, but they will make you a lovely cocktail.

Here are some before and afters for your viewing pleasure.

Akahoshi Ramen is known for their innovative and unexpected flavor combos. It was only fitting that we could up with some similarly unexpected pattern combos for the WC.

Memorial Day Weekend plans? If you’re spending the weekend in Michigan City (or just making the drive through) make time for a patio stop at Leeds Public House. 🍹☀️

Designed by Siren Betty and built by Vero, the 116-year-old former hospital has been thoughtfully transformed into a warm, welcoming neighborhood restaurant that still honors the building’s history. Weathered wood, vintage-inspired details, layered textures, and a spacious patio create the kind of timeless atmosphere that invites you to stay awhile.

A bonus for all you road trippers: the bathrooms are cute, too. 😘

A patio day at The Hi-Lo is always a good idea.

This was once a simple one-story structure, something between a garage and a shed. We changed the pitch of the roof, added trusses, skylights, and new windows, and installed ceiling fans and a brick wood burning fireplace. New floors, many coats of paint, lots of plants and furniture loosely inspired by the set of Golden Girls help to extend The Hi-Lo's patio season well beyond the warmer months.

A peek behind the curtain into Eaves, the cocktail cafe and bistro inside the iconic Civic Opera Building in Chicago.

As part of a three-year renovation (thanks, COVID), we restored the original architectural eaves and added custom millwork, fresh flooring and wallcoverings, gilded ceilings, new light fixtures and a beautiful bar, as well as refreshing the foyer and washrooms.

Eaves occupies the former Pedersen Room, which once served as a private dining room, open only to the opera VIPs. Now this beautiful space is open to the public for lunch and dinner Tuesday to Friday, with special hours on opera days.

Some of our favorite little moments at baking school and event space in River North. It's been almost 4 years since we designed this space and we are still obsessed! ❤️

Bettie's is having a Spring Cleaning Sale and Open House on Friday, May 22 from 3-7pm. They'll be selling hundreds of kitchen items (think baking pans, box graters, pastry cutters, pie plates) and vintage items (glassware, plates, Pyrex, Fire King, Hazel Atlas, etc.)

Owner has an amazing eye for vintage - almost all the items you see styled in the photos above were sourced from her own collection - so there are sure to be some amazing finds for vintage lovers and bakers alike!

We plan to stop by and so should you. 🍪

Service (station) with a smile. 😘

We typically like to tuck service stations into spots that are out of view for restaurant guests. Because sanitizer wipes and POS screens are not exactly aesthetic.

But in Dimmi Dimmi's "shotgun style" dining room, the long straight space means everything is in view. Our solution: hide the service stations in plain sight.

We placed this service station between upholstered Pullman booths and elevated it with custom millwork, an Art Deco-inspired drawer pull, and Calacatta Viola marble, a rare, high-end Italian marble known for its crisp white background and dramatic, burgundy veining. Topped with vintage art pieces and trinkets on open shelving, this service station became a design moment, and a highly functional one at that.

Our own Noelle Saeger has been honored with a Next Award by Interior Design magazine for her work on Brasero, among other projects. The Next Awards celebrate up and coming designers - talents like Noelle who are shaping the future of our industry.

We could not be proud of this gal! Her design work is incredible, but it's just the tip of the iceberg when we think about what she brings to Siren Betty: tremendous joy, boundless creativity, raucous laughter, a competitive athletic spirit (beach volleyballers, beware!), a healthy obsession with checkerboard, and truly the most organized fabric swatch bins you could ever imagine.

Congratulations, Noelle! We love you so much! ❤️❤️
