A little woodland charm for Thanksgiving! 🍂🦌

I'm sharing a Book-Binding Gate Fold Card for this month's Fun Fold Blog Hop! I repurposed a beautiful autumn scene from a Paper Pumpkin card base to create three coordinating panels, then added a sweet little deer and a simple Thanksgiving greeting.

It's a fun fold with a lovely surprise, and I've included a step-by-step tutorial with measurements on my blog!

🍂 One Easy Technique, Three Different Cards!

Have you tried the Stack and Shuffle technique? It's such a fun way to use coordinating designer papers, and you end up with three beautiful card backgrounds!

I used the Glow of Harvest Specialty DSP for my autumn cards, then gave each one its own personality with different finishing touches.

🌻 A little sunshine and a handmade thank you!

Today, I'm sharing TWO projects that make a lovely pair! My Radiant Sunflowers thank you card features cheerful sunflower paper, a sweet layered sentiment, and a little surprise on the inside.

And because a handmade card deserves a little company, I've also created a coordinating Box of Joy gift box that's perfect for tucking in a small treat or surprise!

Sometimes a scoring mistake isn’t a mistake at all—it’s just a fun fold you haven’t discovered yet! 😊

That’s exactly how this asymmetrical easel card began. Instead of starting over when I realized I had scored my card base incorrectly, I decided to see where my “mistake” would take me.

The beautiful Whispering Woods Designer Series Paper did most of the work, with a few little birds added to the peaceful winter sky—because apparently I do have limits when it comes to restraint. 😂

Sometimes the best cards happen when you're just playing! I started with Lost Lagoon and Calypso Coral inks and no real plan—then pulled out my neglected Watercolor Pencils to try a blending technique using a tiny bit of Vaseline. Yes, Vaseline! 😊

Before I knew it, I had a hand-stamped background, inked die cuts, one very sweet little bird, and absolutely no idea what card I was making. 😂 This Double Easel Card turned out to be the perfect way to put it all together!

It looks complicated, but I promise the fold is much easier than it appears. I've included measurements, process photos, and my free printable tutorial on the blog.

🍂 A beautiful die can completely change a card design!

For this fall card, I used the Botanical Expressions Die to create the intricate leafy opening, then surrounded it with warm autumn colors and layered sunflowers. I love how the opening gives the card such an unexpected look!

And because those beautiful die-cut leaves are delicate, I found a simple way to give the card front a little extra support. I’m sharing that tip along with all the measurements and instructions in my free PDF tutorial on the blog.

🍁 An easy fun fold + beautiful fall colors? Yes, please!

Today’s card is an A2 Z-fold featuring layered maple leaves, warm autumn colors, and lots of little details that give it dimension without making it difficult to create.

And this card has a bit of a story! My first version wasn’t bad at all, but something kept bothering me. One simple change made all the difference—and I’m sharing both versions in today’s post.

Would you believe this card folds completely flat for mailing? 🤯

I hadn't made a bendy card in quite a while, and this Bendy Shadow Box Card was too much fun to pass up! I used the beautiful Fern & Flora Bundle with Moonlit Flora Designer Series Paper for an autumn-inspired card with lots of dimension.

The best part? As impressive as it looks standing up, it folds flat as a pancake for mailing!

I’m sharing all the measurements, instructions, and a few helpful tips on my blog—including the trick to getting that bendy band just right.

🌻 This card looks much harder than it is!

Apparently, I have reached the stage of grandparenthood where I know exactly which child I'm picking up from kindergarten...I just can't remember his name. 😂
Poor Noah. I keep telling the school I'm there for his DAD, Adam!

Thankfully, I had a little more success in the craft room. My August Paper Pumpkin kit showed up before I'd even touched July's, so that was my sign to get busy!
I made two completely different cards—a pretty floral wreath and a monochromatic easel card with LOTS of texture.

I'm sharing both cards, measurements, and step-by-step instructions on the blog today. And if you've never made a wreath card, I've got a simple trick that makes it so much easier!
