Spent some time at EXPO CHICAGO earlier this month, and I’m still thinking about it.

From Maria Szakats’ work (completely sold out before 2pm… for good reason) to Michail Michailov’s incredibly meticulous drawings of dust and dirt (yes, really—and they’re stunning), it was a reminder that inspiration shows up in the most unexpected ways.

I was also drawn to the textile-based landscapes by Melissa Leandro at Andrew Rafacz and the timeless work of Liliana Porter at Secrist Beach, still creating at 86, which I absolutely love. And a standout moment: Chris Bradley’s hanging sculpture...one of those pieces you keep circling back to.
