Minimalist Vintage Oak desk by Bassam Fellows Furniture Co of Connecticut. The design duo, as seen in Wallpaper magazine, worked with Herman Miller and DWR as well as renovating several midcentury modern architectural masterpieces. Known for their "Craftsmen Modern" style with focus on quality material and spare construction. The desk has a thick solid oak top with a chunky rounded edge and a tubular steel base actually embedded in the wood for invisible support. The desk measures 48" x 24" x 29.5" high. Antique Early 20th Century Bent Steel Rocking Chair in the Style of R. W. Winfield's Victorian Design. This style of metal rockers, with their use of steel, an industrial material in domestic design, are oft sited as a precursor of later modern bent metal seating, such as by Breuer and Mies. All original, the rocker is heavy, solid and sits nicely. The original velvet fabric of the sling seat is sturdy with some crushing and light wear. Fringe and tapestry edging are fine. Italian 1960s Molded Plastic B33 Bobby Artist Trolley by Joe Colombo. The ingeniously designed modular painters cart was made in Padova Italy by Bieffeplast. Designed in 1969 by renowned industrial designer Joe Columbo. The rolling cart has 3 swing out drawers and various cubbies for oil painting supplies. Vintage 1960's Brass Adjustable Reading / Pharmacy Lamp. This useful and elegant task lamp raises and lowers between 54" and 38" with a pivoting shade for directing light to the reader's desire. The solid brass lamp is extremely heavy and beautifully made. The thick square stock adjustable stem angles to a brass shade with a dimmer switch and glides up and down to multiple levels.
