Sometimes it's super hard not to show off a piece until it's finished because it's a SURPRISE! ( relax that part is over now) I'm super stoked to share this piece with y'all. .riot.grrrl.sucks commissioned this piece with 2 things in mind all the love for and his love for Star Wars. She trusted me to plan it out using details from their life and a whole lot of my nerd powers. Today I found out he loves it and I couldn't be happier with that.

So this just sorta clicked yesterday as I watched a person try to pick out just the right piece to put in their new living space. People consider me an artist. 🤯 This isn't a brag. Because I don't. I like making things . But people are taking those things calling them art and choosing to decorate their places of work, their homes or sometimes their clothing. What an honor that is. I may never visit these places but I have a spot there. Whoa.
To anyone who's purchased a piece from me and used it to decorate somewhere where they spend time. Thank you. It's an honor and a privilege to be there.

Working hands
My hand work. A whole bunch in fact. They are never not a weird color and are sore sometimes. They are take me places like the local axe throwing club and they work there.

Empty your pockets
This is a pretty basic pocket dump for me. Flashlight , lighter , knife, tools of some sorts and something weird, other times there's junk rocks or bones. Just depends on the day.

Lest talk motivation for Day 6 of May is for makers.
Obviously there are many factors
Furthering my business and brand, money etc.
At the end of the day though its for my family, My dogs and my partner and keeping the legacy skills that have been passed to me. Im providing for them and making them proud of what I do.

Day 4 of May is for makers

Bust a myth:

Art is not always paintings, sculpture, photographs or other "traditional media" it can be this: an axe. Ive been active in the axe community for a bit now and everyone generally accepts axes with designs as art but I'm not so sure about others. I made this piece for a Star Wars themed art show. I hope its received well.

Day 3: I ( missed 2) in May is for makers.

A day in the life:
Its pretty normal got to work ( not glamorous) come home sit work bench, play with dogs, sit at bench some more play video games, then bed time, repeat till your dead.

May 1st: About Me: Im Justin, I run Three Dog Forge. Im 37 and don't understand zodiacs. I work full time as an office admin and run my shop where I specialize in custom tools including axes, when I'm not at my "9-5". Also I have a soft spot for dogs.

This is me right now. April was supposed to be an off month no shows, working private commissions, personal projects and production, now its 4 shows in the next 6 weeks. ( Mainly because I can pass up a few of these opportunities)

Most of the time I'm posting to tell you how busy I am and while this post has many pictures of new projects commissions and all the shows I've been attending to show that, the first slide is currently me right now and the second slide is there to remind me how it all started ( the forge definitely does not look like this anymore). Im super tired and super busy. Not quite burnt out but getting crispy on the edges. This s**t is HARD I have no one to delegate tasks to it's me or it doesn't get done. The only person who I can really rely on is and they are the same boat as me and oh boy are we in a storm.

I guess what I'm trying to say is:

-To the local community and my private clients thank you for ypur patronage, you all like my stuff enough to buy it and Im flabbergasted.🤯❤️

- To my maker community: Keep going you're doing great, amd come talk to if you need to vent. 👍🤘

-Lastly, to : Thanks fpr mountains of support, probably wouldn't be where I am without you having my back. 😍

Now back to work. 😵‍💫
