I shared a post on instagram today (which shares to my page) about our Etsy store. I realized I haven’t talked about our eBay store in awhile.

We have 241 items listed, I typically list 10 to 21 new items a week depending on sales. We have 100% positive rating which I’m so grateful for. We sell everything on eBay not just vintage or antique items.

I like eBay it’s our first online platform and helped me gain the courage to try other markets.

With Etsy being my favorite and Vinted being my least favorite eBay is probably second closely followed by Mercari just because it’s so easy to list and is definitely the most user friendly.

We are always learning and have made many mistakes especially not calculating shipping correctly and losing money.

We are still having fun and looking at it as a long term business and praying it eventually creates enough added income that Chris can completely retire.

We are thinking of selling on What Not. I think Chris would be the best at being the main person on screen and then I could be in the background doing the computer monitoring. What do y’all think?

Also do any of our friends sell or purchase on What Not? What are the pros and cons?

I don’t ever get nervous about the quality or the type of item I sell on platforms because all items are exactly as pictured and described

This one I’m nervous about.

Because I made it and I’m shocked someone would buy it, but they did.

The first junk journal I made sold today on Poshmark and will be shipping out tomorrow.

I sold it pretty inexpensive because I did a lot of things I wouldn’t do again. I hope this person likes it but I’m worried. Self doubt is my enemy, I know I’m probably harder on myself than anyone else would be. I’m trying to be optimistic though because if it’s liked and a positive review comes with it I’ll probably try to sell more.

I really hope they like it.

Since I haven’t had a fever in 24 hours I was able to venture out into the world. Of course I had to grab something cool.

This primitive jelly cabinet would be perfect in a cabin by river. I’ll give y’all the opportunity to grab it before I bring it to the booth this weekend. $125

We’ve been sick since Wednesday and it’s been absolutely awful.

So for the first time since opening our booths we haven’t been in to add items and fluff in over a week.

For the first time since opening we went a Friday without a sale, and for the first time since opening we’re starting the second week of our month without rent being made.

I feel like we’ve done the right thing, in the two times I have left the house, I took the chance of looking like an idiot and wearing a mask, not for me but to protect immunocompromised people.

Still I feel like I have failed because I haven’t made my goal, while this started as a hobby and not a necessity now it’s part of Chris’s retirement plan. Just last week I said we can pay the butcher with eBay money and his eyes about popped out of his head. We have a goal to completely replace his income with our business because he can’t continue climbing ladders in 111 degree weather for 8 hours a day, his body just won’t let him anymore and social security isn’t even 1/4 of what he typically brings home. He can’t just let go because he’s self worth is tied to being a provider but if I can show him we can make it with my full time job and our little business I know he’ll completely retire.

Well now that I have trauma dumped on y’all, all this was to let you know hopefully by tomorrow we should be able to pop into the booths to drop off some goodies. That’s if I make it through today without spiking another fever. 🙏🏼
