Do you make homemade “pinesol” with your Christmas tree?? I have a whole bag and another gallon jar to still make, but I ran out of vinegar. I also didn’t have any orange or lemon peels, so that will have to wait for the next batch.
Homemade pine needle cleaner
Glass jar with lid
Pine needles (or other evergreen needles)
Vinegar (white or acv)
Citrus peels (optional)
Fill your jar with pine needles, lightly packed add your citrus peels if you want to use. Fill with vinegar, leaving about an inch of headspace. You can shake occasionally if you think about it, otherwise, leave it in a cool dark place for 4-6 weeks.
After it has infused to your liking (or you remember it or find it 🫣😉) strain into a spray bottle and use it as an everyday cleaner to clean and disinfect. Can also be used in mop water.
I like to label and date, since the pine oils can start to break down after a year or two.
You can also add citrus essential oils when using if you aren’t able to use citrus peels.
