π Ever wonder why your carpet seems to change color when you walk around the room?
Here's a fun flooring fact:
Most carpet fibers actually have two sides. Depending on which direction the fibers are leaning, they reflect light differently. That's why your carpet can look darker from one side of the room and lighter from the otherβeven though it's the exact same color!
It's also what creates those famous vacuum lines and footprints. When a vacuum, pet, kid, or even your own feet brush the fibers in a different direction, the carpet catches the light differently and creates a new shade or pattern.
So if you see vacuum marks, don't panicβthey're not stains or defects. They're simply proof that your carpet is doing what carpet does. π
Think of it like a field of grass on a windy day. Bend it one way and it looks dark. Bend it the other way and it looks light.
In other words, your carpet isn't changing colors... it's just showing off its different angles. π
Now that you know the secret, you'll never look at carpet the same way again.
