Elevar Design Group

Designing spaces that strengthen community is at the heart of what we do at Elevar.

Our work with Roger Bacon High School on the new Our Lady of the Angels Chapel and Anne Nurre Heidt Atrium created a welcoming place for students, faculty, alumni, and the greater Roger Bacon community to gather, reflect, and connect.

For Elevar’s John Rademacher, the project also came with a special connection. As a Roger Bacon alumnus, John’s interest in architecture began in a drafting class at the school. Years later, he returned as part of the Elevar team, helping bring this meaningful space to life.

The Catholic Telegraph recently featured the project, including insights from John, and also sat down with him for an interview about the story behind it.

Inclusion is the blueprint. 🌈

Inclusive spaces start with inclusive teams. The built environment shapes how people feel seen, safe, and welcome, and we believe that work starts long before a project breaks ground.

Happy Pride Month from everyone at Elevar.

Nine years running!

Elevar has been recognized as a Top Workplace by the Cincinnati Enquirer for the ninth consecutive year, and honestly, it never gets old. This recognition is driven entirely by our team, and that's what makes it mean something. We're proud of the culture we've built together, and even more excited about where we're headed.

To every person who has been part of this journey: thank you.

Honoring those who gave everything, so we could build the lives and communities we have today. From our team to yours, enjoy the long weekend.

May is Building Safety Month, and this year's theme, "Built to Last," is at the center of everything we do.

Good design isn't just about how a building looks on opening day. It's about how it performs in years 10, 25, and 50. The decisions made early in the design process, the right materials, the right systems, the right details, are what determine whether a building endures or exists.

We may be architects and engineers by day... but apparently we're athletes, too?

This week, Elevate+Dominate and the Skanska USA Sandstorm faced off in a friendly volleyball scrimmage ahead of our upcoming season at Fifty West Brewing Company . Let's say the competitive spirit was very much present!

Win or lose, building good relationships with the people we build alongside is always the goal!

Come cheer on the Elevar team Tuesday nights at Fifty West Wooster Pike!

Happy Earth Day 🌍

This is the green roof on the U.S. EPA's Andrew W. Breidenbach Environmental Research Center here in Cincinnati, and it's one of our favorite examples of sustainability you can actually see!

Green roofs reduce stormwater runoff, improve insulation, extend roof life, and support local ecosystems. And when your client is the EPA, designing with the environment in mind isn't just a value, it's the baseline.

In the AEC industry, every project is an opportunity to do better by the planet!

As Architecture Week wraps up, we want to end it the way we start every project, by talking about people.

The Elevar team is made up of architects, engineers, interior designers, and the people who keep it all running. Different disciplines, different backgrounds, one shared goal: designing spaces that actually work for the people who use them.

We're proud of what we build. We're more proud of who we build it with.
Happy Architecture Week!

Architecture is a conversation that starts long before ground breaks.

It starts with listening to a client, to a community, and to a site. Then comes the iterating, the problem-solving, and the moments where a sketch on paper becomes something you can actually walk through.

That's the part we love most—the process of turning a need into a place.
