Why cover up a view like this? 🍂

Cincinnati in the fall is meant to be enjoyed. With automated shades, you can adjust each shade to exactly where you want it — letting in the view and natural light while still having control over privacy and glare.

As Cincinnati’s window treatment automation experts, we can help you create a system that makes controlling the light throughout your home feel effortless.

And that tailored cornice? The perfect finishing touch.

Tall ceilings. Intense sun. Limited options.
In this Middletown home, our client had lived with the challenges of a southeast-facing two-story great room for over five years. Stunning natural light, but far too much of it. ☀️

They didn’t want to deal with yearly battery changes or climbing tall ladders just to keep shades running. So we gave them an elegant solution that worked on their schedule — not the other way around.

With automated ripplefold draperies on Paris Texas Hardware's R-TEC system, they can now schedule their drapes to open and close through an app or use the sleek wall-mounted remote. Beautiful, low-maintenance, and perfectly customized.

No cords. No ladders. Just comfort and control at 16 feet high and wide.

Want to take the stress out of window treatment decisions? Call Apollo.

Good routines start early — and sometimes, the smallest things can help make them a little easier. ☀️

Parents have a lot on their plates these days. Creating a consistent bedtime and morning routine for kids is important, but that doesn’t mean every part of it has to fall on you.

Automated shades can be programmed to close at bedtime, helping create a darker, cozier environment for rest, and then open in the morning to welcome natural light back into the room.

Instead of waking up to a dark bedroom, kids can start their day with sunlight streaming in — a simple, gentle cue that it’s time to get up and get moving.

For Cincinnati families, custom automated shades can make everyday routines a little easier — while giving parents one less thing to remember.

Take a look at your windows. Do you still see cords?

October is Window Covering Safety Month, and it’s a good reminder to take a closer look at older window treatments — especially in homes with children, grandchildren, or pets.

Today’s window treatments have come a long way. Cordless and automated options make them easier to operate, give your windows a cleaner look, and eliminate the need for traditional operating cords.

If you’ve been living with the same corded blinds or shades for years, let October be your reminder to give us a call. We can help you explore what’s changed and find an updated solution that works beautifully in your Cincinnati home.

If you’re shopping for custom window treatments, you may wonder why someone needs to come to your home before giving you a recommendation. Can’t you just send a few photos and measurements and go from there?

After more than 50 years of working in Cincinnati homes, we’ve learned that some of the most important window treatment decisions happen before we ever look at the windows or pull out a tape measure.

Apollo Draperies has helped homeowners throughout Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky with custom window treatments for more than 50 years.

Just in case you were wondering... Fall is a great time to get started on exterior shades. Here's why:

First, this is prime outdoor-living weather in Cincinnati. Exterior shades can cut TV glare on outdoor game days, protect against wind, and make a covered patio or balcony feel more comfortable as temperatures cool.

Second, they can give you more usable space when you’re hosting. When friends are over for the game or family is gathering for dinner, enclosing a covered outdoor area with shades can make it feel like a natural extension of your home.

And finally, starting now puts you ahead of the rush for next spring and summer. Custom exterior shades take time to plan, fabricate, and install, so there’s a real advantage to getting the process underway before the first hot day sends everyone looking for the same solution.

We recently installed these Draper exterior shades at a downtown Cincinnati condo near the soccer stadium, where we’ve also had the opportunity to work on window treatments throughout the home.

Around here, patio season doesn’t end when summer does. Sometimes fall is when it really gets good.

We loved collaborating with Bria Hammel Interiors on this Cincinnati design project, and especially love her choice of shades.

Woven woods are one of those window treatments we never get tired of. They bring natural texture and warmth to a room, pair beautifully with custom drapery, and work with so many different design styles.

In this home, they’re part of a layered window treatment design that adds softness and function without competing with Bria’s vision for the space.

Fall may have us noticing all that warm texture a little more right now, but woven woods are a favorite at Apollo all year long. 🙌
