This nightstand set was geared up to be an easy flip. Such solid pieces and I wanted a simple, clean design.
My original plan was to go with a dark, espresso stain. My perfectionism worked against me and with differences in the way the wood was straining, I eventually decided to paint black. That led to an unexpected repair to the wood, and a hit to my confidence. Even picking out legs and hardware that were close enough in color/ sheen was tough.
My hubby helped to build the base for the legs, which I love! Although they didn't come out the way I originally intended, they still have that sleek modern look I always wanted.
