Bourdon's is hiring a full time position. This job includes hogging mattresses, which entails using a hog ring (almost like stapling) to put all the layers onto the mattress. We would also be willing to hire someone just part time if the hours work out. Bourdon's is a mattress manufacturer and our hours are 7:00 am start and 3:30 pm finish with lunch from 12:00 pm until 12:30 pm. Bourdon's offers health insurance and free dental & life insurance. Bourdon's was named Business of the Year by our Chamber of Commerce. We are very honored this year to be recognized, especially since it was our 100th year. Thanks again to the The Greater Claremont Chamber of Commerce for this recognition!

Another Throwback Thursday. This one is about the ownership of Bourdon's through the years.

Douglas Bourdon became full owner of the New Haven Mattress company on Main Street, Claremont, NH in December of 1924. Richard (Dick) Bourdon, son of Douglas Bourdon worked at Bourdon's New Haven Mattress Co. from 1945-1963. John (Jack) Bourdon, son of Douglas Bourdon also worked at Bourdon New Haven Mattress Co. and became full owner after the passing of his father. In 1968 the corporation Bourdon's Inc. was established. In 1978 Bourdon's moved from 96 Main Street to 91 Main Street. In 1988 Jack Bourdon decided to sell the business to two employees, Dan Desmarais & Charles Aiken. They formed a new corporation Bourdon's Institutional Sales, Inc. on January 1st, 1989. Then in 1994 the company moved to 85 Plains Road, Claremont, NH. In 2013 Dan Desmarais became sole owner of Bourdon's Institutional Sales, Inc.
