We travelled back in time this evening to taste a 4000 year old cookie. . . Well the recipe anyway! Mersu uses simple ingredients utilizing honey, pistachios, dates and a basic shortbread. Sometimes simpler really is better.

She’s officially crossed into true craftsmanship territory. These loaves have that perfect crust, gorgeous open crumb, and ear game on point. The future bakes are going to be spectacular—winter was just the warm-up.
