Carriage Barn Custom Builders created this Back Mountain, Pennsylvania outdoor living project around the layout of the existing home.

The completed space combines a pergola, outdoor summer kitchen, fireplace, food-preparation area, countertops, and storage coolers within a larger outdoor entertaining area designed for everyday use.\

This project shows how a custom outdoor living space can do more than add features — it can improve the way cooking, gathering, and movement work together around an existing home.

Custom W**e Cellar in Northeast PA | Older-Home Basement Renovation

Carriage Barn Custom Builders transformed an existing fieldstone basement in an older Dalton, Pennsylvania home into a custom w**e cellar designed around an approximately 2,000-bottle w**e collection.

The project included custom w**e storage for approximately 1,000 bottles of red w**e and 1,000 bottles of white w**e, integrated cooling equipment, finished basement space, and a custom concealed-latch door opened with a small pin.

This w**e cellar is an example of how Carriage Barn approaches older-home renovation, custom woodworking, and basement remodeling by planning around the existing home instead of treating the space as a blank slate.

Inside this Scranton home, Carriage Barn restored original architectural elements in place while creating new custom mantels, interior doors, built-in cabinetry, and detailed entrances to work with the existing interior.

One fireplace includes concealed panels designed to disappear into the surrounding architectural woodwork — a small detail that shows how new craftsmanship can become part of an older home without competing with its character.

Historic farmhouse renovation in Lenox, Pennsylvania—see how a divided first floor became an open, connected living space.

This farmhouse originally had four small downstairs rooms and a failed fireplace chimney. Carriage Barn Custom Builders rebuilt the chimney and fireplace area, opened the kitchen and dining spaces to the fireplace, replaced the windows, and preserved the home’s original wood by refinishing it in place.
