Apparently, collecting fragrance oils is a hobby all on its own. 🀣

One of my restart projects has been getting my fragrance oil collection organized, and let's just say... there are a LOT of bottles! πŸ™ˆ

Every fragrance now has its own number, a labeled lid, and an assigned bin. There's even an alphabetical index on the wall so I can actually find what I'm looking for without digging through dozens of bottles.

Is it a bit excessive? Maybe. πŸ˜‚ But it makes experimenting with new scents and combos so much easier!

And I have to admit, seeing everything neatly organized is pretty satisfying. 🧑

One of the biggest things I've been working on is testing new vessels and wicks!

There's a lot more that goes into making a candle than just melting wax and adding fragrance. Each new jar and wick combination needs to be tested through multiple burns to make sure they burn properly and safely.

Right now, my workspace is full of test candles, handwritten notes, and lots of experimenting. πŸ˜‚ It's definitely a process, but getting back into this part of candle making has reminded me how much I've missed it.

Cinder and Flame has been pretty quiet for a while, but behind the scenes, something has been waking back up. πŸ•―οΈ

If you've been here since the beginning, you probably remember the colorful candles, the first wax melts, and the original God's Promises collection. If you're newer here, hi! I'm Monica, the maker behind Cinder and Flame.

A while back, life brought some unexpected changes, and candle making had to take a back seat. It wasn't something I planned or wanted, but sometimes life requires us to set aside things we love for a season. 🫢🏻

Now, after a lot of time away, I finally get to do something I've really missed.

I've been slowly rebuilding Cinder and Flame with fresh eyes and a more intentional approach. That means testing new vessels and wicks, reorganizing fragrances, refreshing labels, and bringing some old favorites back along the way.

As things come together, I'll be sharing updated product details, fragrances, and pricing. Some things may look a little different from the candles you remember, but the heart behind Cinder and Flame hasn't changed.

I'm not ready to announce a launch date just yet because I want everything thoroughly tested before it goes back out into the world. But I π‘Žπ‘š ready to start sharing the process with you.
