Gilded Tiles and Zero Apologies: Inside a Bold Pink Powder Room 🎀

If you’re going to go bold, go all in. Powder rooms are the perfect canvas for maximalist design! They're small spaces where you can take huge risks and create an unforgettable experience for guests.

Design Highlights
Vibrant Pink Damask Wallpaper: A striking, ornate pattern that brings romantic vintage drama straight into the 21st century.

Metallic Gold Brick Tile: Adding rich texture and reflecting light with a show-stopping reflective gloss.

Ornate Venetian-Style Mirror: Intricate glasswork that balances the contemporary crisp white floating vanity.

Modern Touches: Sleek brass hardware, a wall-mounted toilet, and clean geometric lines keep the glamorous aesthetic feeling fresh and intentional rather than cluttered.

Pro Tip: Don't be afraid to mix high-gloss textures with busy patterns in smaller spaces. As long as you anchor the room with clean neutrals (like a solid white vanity and soft white textured tile flooring), the contrast feels elevated rather than overwhelming!

Would you go this bold in your own home?

Starting with a clean slate allowed us to bring every detail of this new construction kitchen to life! Designed to balance modern elegance with warm, inviting layers, this space was truly built for both everyday living and elevated entertaining. 🌿🥂

Material Selections & Design Details-
Cabinetry Duo:
Light rift-sawn oak cabinetry frames the perimeter to bring natural texture and warmth, anchored by a rich, deep forest green island that serves as the visual centerpiece.

Countertops & Backsplash:
Seamless white quartz with subtle veining grounds the workspace, flowing continuously from the island to the full-height slab backsplash and custom range hood trim.

Warm Accents:
Brushed brass hardware, a high-arc brass faucet, and tailored pendant lights with delicate brass frames add a touch of warm metallic shine throughout.

Seating & Surfaces:
Rich cognac leather barstools bring a touch of warm contrast to the green island, while textured pink grasscloth wallcoverings in the adjacent dining area add depth and softness to the open concept layout.

The Butler's Pantry & Bar:
Tucked just off the main kitchen, the dry bar features an eye-catching botanical/feather tile mosaic backsplash, custom glass-front display cabinets, and a stainless steel under-counter beverage cooler—perfect for party prep.

From the architectural coving details down to the curated gallery wall in the dining nook, every inch was thoughtfully crafted to make this new build feel like home.

Out with the dark, in with the BOLD!

We decided to completely reimagine this dining space, taking it from a smurf blue box to a space that feels incredibly fresh, energetic, and full of life, not to mention so kid friendly LITERALLY.

By clearing out the heavy wall color and bringing in bright white walls with classic molding, the room instantly opened up. But the real magic happened when we made some seriously fearless design choices:

That Pink Buffet:
We took the existing wood buffet and gave it a facelift! Paired with the vibrant abstract art, it anchors the room with an unapologetic pop of color.

Fresh Green Drapes:
Bringing in that crisp, natural element to balance the brightness.

The Plaid Rug:
Indestructible 100% solution dyed acrylic fibers. Anything from ketchup to acrylic paint, it all can be washed out with some dawn dish soap! Tying all the playful hues together right under the table.

From a bright idea to a vibrant reality! We had so much fun bringing this fresh and inviting family room to life.

Our client’s wish list was clear: a space that feels fresh and inviting, loaded with color and patterns, and a very specific request to reuse her beloved bright pink wingback chairs.

Challenge accepted! 💪 We started by framing her existing chairs around a classic white fireplace, giving them a whole new context. A lime green accent wall provides the perfect backdrop for that stunning abstract art and makes the magenta color pop.

The key to keeping the pattern mix feeling cohesive? We balanced the small-scale leopard print rug with the large, graphic black-and-white stripes of the curtains and threw in some global-inspired blue and yellow pillows on the sofa for good measure.

Non-profit spaces have a very special place in my heart, and I am incredibly grateful to have been part of the process in bringing these two beautiful, intentional spaces to life: the Developmental Trauma Center and the Lesley Ann Waldheim Early Childhood Center for . 🩵✨

Collaborating alongside an amazing team of social workers, our goal was to design environments where preschool-aged children all the way up to teenagers feel entirely secure, supported, and seen.

Every corner of these facilities was built to support Family Forward’s vision of advancing safer, healthier relationships. From dedicated play therapy rooms and therapeutic movement zones to parent resource areas and specialized spaces like the calm/safe rooms—this is a place built to help heal developmental trauma, empower parents, and mold a brighter, healthier future for children and their families.

TOUR TIME!

This master bedroom is officially my favorite space in my clients' new home! We wanted to create a sanctuary that felt incredibly cozy yet sophisticated, and it all started with a single design element.

Swiping through, you can see how we layered the space to feel calm but full of life:

The Inspiration:
The soothing accent wallpaper behind the bed reminded my client of a Monet painting. It set the mood for the entire room and was the very first thing we picked out!

Texture Overload:
We stuck to a serene palette of creams, slate blues, and soft pinks, but let the textures do the heavy lifting. We’re talking stamped wood on the dresser, textured faux silk draperies, a 100% wool rug, custom wainscoting, and a mix of velvet and metallic fibers on the bedding.

Perfect Patterns:
Mixing patterns is an art! We paired a large organic pattern on the rug with a micro-cut velvet on the bench, and topped it off with a medium-scale lumbar pillow that perfectly bridges the wallpaper, curtains, and dresser together.

Serene Statements:
It’s all in the details. The custom landscape artwork acts as the perfect focal point, bringing a peaceful, calming mood to the room. We framed it in a delicate gold that perfectly coordinates with the elegant lucite and gold curtain rods, instantly warming up the space.

Which detail is your favorite? Let me know in the comments! 👇

What’s the secret to creating a kitchen that is truly home? It’s not about following the latest trend. It’s about uncovering the soul of the people who use it.

When I start a project, I’m not just a designer; I’m a detective. I want to know everything. I ask questions like "Do you cook on a Saturday night or order in? Do you love quiet, calm mornings or big, boisterous breakfasts?" These questions are the key.

This kitchen is the perfect example of design that’s been truly tailored. I didn’t just suggest a tile; together, we found a texture and tone in this unique blue-streaked picket tile that speaks to their love of serenity and organic details. We didn't just pick a metal; we chose warm, geometric brass that adds a touch of modern glam without overpowering the space. Are you really attached to your light fixture? Ok, let's incorporate it in the space.

Your home should be an expression of you, not a one-size-fits-all solution. My passion is working with you to figure out exactly what your style is, so we can create a space that’s as functional as it is personal.

Design isn’t about forcing a "signature look" onto your home. It’s about figuring out who you are, how you live, and what your space actually needs to thrive.

When my clients asked to transform their basement guest bathroom, we didn't just grab a generic mood board. We sat down, dug into their style, and built a space that feels deeply personal, warm, and elevated.

Look closely at the details we curated together:

The Texture: A stunning, elongated picket tile accent wall paired with timeless penny tiles on the floor.

The Warmth: Light, natural wood tones on the vanity and built-in shelving that instantly counteract that typical "cold basement" feel.

The Glow: Triple brass pendant lights that act as functional art, reflecting beautiful warmth off the dimensioned white shower tile.

The Consistency: Reusing that gorgeous picket accent tile inside the custom shower niches for a seamless, intentional look.

I don’t design for the masses. I design for you. Let’s skip the generic trends and figure out your home’s unique style blueprint together.

What’s your favorite detail in this space? The tile, the lighting, or the warm wood? Let me know in the comments!
