Up in the middle of the night is not always a bad thing. This morning I can’t stop thinking about how blessed my life is. Leslie and I leave in a few hours to travel to Florida for the birth of our second grandson. It is funny how life changes my perspective of success. Many think it is money, a fancy car, a lake house or a fancy title. For me it has become freedom, family, friends and doing what I love. For over 30 years I worked in wireless and absolutely loved my job and this season I changed it up dramatically by switching from wireless to wood, decorating and property hosting. Each morning I wake up to a new challenge, but love what I do and who I do it with.
Last month I gained a son through marriage and soon my family will grow again with the birth of my second grandson. Wow. My life is perfect. Looking back at the High School version of myself…I would have never predicted this outcome. So glad I have God in my life and He has blessed me so.

I sometimes don’t think through all of my projects. Client asked for bookends…I made heavy blocks of wood with cool laser engravings, but I didn’t think through how these blocks would actually hold up books. Took them back and added bases to the bottom that will hold back the books. We also didn’t like one of the graphics, so i made a new one.
