Here is a quilt i recently finished, it is gorgeous! However😄 it sure was a challenge. The fabric is cotton but it had a silky feel, and had a bit of a stretch to it. Add on top of that, the quilt pieces were cut on the bias giving extra stretch. The backing measured long enough for the quilt top. By time I got to the bottom of the quilt, I ran out of fabric. Thankfully there was extra fabric on the sides that I was able to cut off and sew onto the bottom of the backing. You really can't tell the back is pieced at all! 💜

I was going to wait until I put the binding on, but I was to excited to share😄 My initial thought was to do a custom job on this but ultimately settled for an edge to edge design. I think it worked perfectly!💜

Clothing may carry a memory but quilting it into something new creates a keepsake that can be held close for years to come.
The hummingbirds are a great reminder of love, hope and healing and the belief that those we miss are never truly far away!💜
The quilt label is a hand written message from a card that I embroidered.💜💜
