I don’t usually share personal issues however animals are the heart of my business and negligence IS abuse. After a horrific event with a groomer service for my mother’s dog we learned the hard way that the groomer can deny any wrong doing to law enforcement and not be held accountable even in more unfortunate circumstances of death. Rescue Pink Animal Justice Task Force & Rescue has put together a survey to create a law to be put in place to ensure proper and strict training is provided to Florida groomers as currently there aren’t any in place that are mandatory. Please let the lessons of my mom’s dog, Chewy, and others who weren’t as fortunate to survive be a lesson to all of us that even something so innocent as grooming without proper training can result in severe harm, trauma, and even death. Please fill out the survey and do your own due diligence to find a properly trained groomer that can handle dogs appropriately. And please take the survey to ensure practices are put in place for proper training on Florida groomers. The groomer has agreed to use this as a learning lesson and has covered the pet bills. But the lasting trauma will never be erased.
