Teaching kids to cook has always been important to me—but being confident in the kitchen is about more than following a recipe.
It’s also about understanding the food we use every day.
In my Food Detective class, kids learn how to investigate a food label: serving sizes, ingredients, added sugars, sodium, percentages and more. Most importantly, we’re not labeling foods as “good” or “bad.” We’re learning to look, understand, compare, and make informed choices.
Because cooking skills and food literacy go hand in hand. ❤️
My goal isn’t just to help kids become great little cooks—it’s to give them knowledge they can carry into their own kitchens for years to come.
