THE GROVEYS 2026 | Where Art Becomes Recognition
At Dax Art Studio, we specialize in transforming creative ideas into unique works of art that tell stories, celebrate achievements, and inspire emotions.
For the Groveland Founder’s Gala 2026, we had the privilege of creating an exclusive collection of handcrafted kiln-cast glass sculptures, each designed to represent the values that strengthen and inspire a thriving community.
Every sculpture features a distinctive shape, color, and meaning:
VITALITY | Creating Energy and Opportunity
A flowing flame in vibrant shades of yellow, orange, and red symbolizes energy, opportunity, and the continuous growth of a thriving community.
INTENTIONALITY | Leading with Purpose
A bold geometric sculpture in brilliant blue glass represents leadership, vision, determination, and the importance of moving forward with purpose.
CONNECTIVITY | Building Stronger Relationships
Intertwined forms in turquoise glass symbolize unity, meaningful connections, and the strength that comes from working together.
HEART | Serving with Compassion
A sculptural heart in rich red glass represents compassion, generosity, kindness, and a commitment to serving others.
A Meaningful Connection to Groveland’s History
One of the most remarkable elements of this collection is the wooden base supporting each sculpture. These bases were crafted from the historic oak tree that once stood at the Oak Tree Union Colored Cemetery of Taylorville, a cemetery established in 1895 on land donated to Black settlers in the community.
For generations, this oak tree stood as a symbol of remembrance, resilience, and continuity.
After the tree fell decades ago, it was rediscovered during restoration efforts in 2022.
The historic wood was carefully transformed into the award bases by Jeremy Hauff of Hauff Homes in Groveland, connecting today's honorees with the generations who helped shape the community.
Each award carries not only artistic beauty but also a meaningful piece of Groveland's history.
