In 1918, we adopted our current name and moved into our home at 1122 Prospect Avenue under the leadership of Albert Bigalke. Over a century later, that same building remains the heart of our Cleveland operations. We proudly became an authorized Steelcase dealer in 1927, establishing a partnership that continues to define our commitment to high-quality design and workplace innovation. We joined the
Executive Furniture Guild in 1947, one of the first national initiatives to coordinate color and design across office interiors. Throughout the decades, Ohio Desk has evolved to continually support the needs of the modern workplace. We started with simple desks and chairs in the 1960s and migrated to modular systems furniture in the 1970s. In the 1980s & 90s, we expanded our services offered to include short-term rentals, cleaning, and architectural upgrades such as flooring and demountable walls. We are honored to be a trusted provider of integrated workplace environments. Today, our reach extends across Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania, including the Cleveland, Akron/Canton, Youngstown, and Erie markets. We are passionate about helping our clients create inspiring, flexible spaces that offer a variety of experiences to support different work styles. In 2025, Ohio Desk began an exciting new chapter as Heather Edkins and Amanda (Mandi) Banks assumed leadership as President and Chief Revenue Officer, becoming majority shareholders. With decades of experience and a forward-thinking vision, Heather and Mandi are guiding Ohio Desk into the future—grounded in our legacy and energized by new opportunities to help our customers thrive.
