A kitchen doesn’t end at its walls. Sometimes, its most important feature is the view beyond them.
Here, the custom cabinetry was designed to frame the windows rather than compete with them, allowing the natural light and landscape to become part of the room. As the light moves throughout the day, it travels across the quartzite counters and reveals the subtle tonal variation in the travertine backsplash, proof that natural materials are never static.
The palette was kept quiet and warm, with enough architectural detail to give the kitchen presence while still allowing the eye to move outward toward the water and greenery beyond.
Good design considers what is inside the room. Great design also considers what you see from it.
