Here at Square One Workshop, our goal is to take regular old wood, and turn it into something beautiful. Handcrafted in our small Cleveland shop, each one of our custom pieces is made from locally sourced wood here in Northeast Ohio. We strive to create unique, quality items that you won’t see in big box stores.

Our Story

My name is Brian Hendricks and I created Hendricks Design as a way to create more beauty in the world through precise, detail-oriented, custom woodwork that draws on mid-century and geometric design styles. I’ve been working as an independent woodworker in Cleveland, Ohio since 2016. I find that Cleveland’s raw, industrial heritage and continuing growth into a modern city is an inspiring place in which to create pieces that rely on both old-school know-how and modern tools like digital sketching, CNC machines, and laser engraving.
