My forever misconception that nightstands should take me less time to refinish than any other piece of furniture... False!
This set in particular took so many days to get to this point-partly because there are two of them, and party because I had to refinish the insides and all those open shelves! But honestly, saving and preserving these mahogany pieces is bringing me so much joy. And just for a little extra happiness? A sweet pop of wallpaper in the back.

I love me some pink! As soon as I saw the pink marble tops on these step tables, I knew I had to save them. After lots of deliberation over the right shade, burnt russet was the ultimate winner! Now looking at these two sweet tables just brings the biggest smile to my face.

Finally, there’s a hint of fall in the air, which means buffet season is just around the corner! I took a little road trip for this one and kept my fingers crossed that she could be saved. You absolutely must swipe to see the before picture... I’m truly blown away by how beautifully it turned out! Hiding underneath all those dents, scratches, and who-knows-what-else was the most gorgeous walnut. I can’t wait to see this cutie settled into its new home!

It’s been a minute since I’ve had a Hepplewhite in my inventory! I went into this project fully expecting to have to paint her... but never have I ever found a vintage piece in such pristine condition! No veneer damage, no lifting, and zero burn-through (go me!).

All she needed was a gentle strip and sand, and a coat of stain to make that gorgeous mahogany grain shine again. A custom blend of American Walnut and Espresso brought all that 1930s elegance back to life.

I don’t know if I’m finding these perfect little tables or if they’re finding me! Either way, we keep finding each other, and these sweet accent tables are officially my new obsession.
And hello, double scallops?! Yes, all day to that! Between the scalloped apron under the drawer AND the scalloped edges on the table top, the handmade detail on this oak cutie is unreal.

Do you have the perfect spot for this one?

These antique washstands are some of my absolute favorite pieces to rescue! This cutie was in serious need of saving after years of wear and tear. It’s so rare to find one with all of its original brass hardware AND the splashback completely intact! After a little gluing, sanding, bleaching, and adding a soft, warm wood tone, she’s all refreshed and ready to start her next chapter.

This little cutie got a much-deserved refresh! She’s so unique with that sweet scalloped lower shelf and curved top drawer. I wish I could keep her, but I just can’t find the right spot in my own home! Message me if you have the perfect spot for her.

Another day, another new Eastlake and another new stain color in the books!
This one, guys... this needed a ton of love. But the beauty of these pieces—besides their incredible construction—is that they were made to be refinished over and over again if needed.
I’m absolutely loving its new rich brown finish with those subtle black undertones. It brings out every ounce of character it’s gathered over nearly 150 years! And, as always, let’s take a minute and swoon over those Knapp joints on the drawer sides... because that scallop-and-peg magic will simply never get old.

Okay, it’s official, I have a new favorite stain color!

When I first rescued this 1840s American Empire bureau, it was hidden beneath old, damaged mahogany veneer. Stripping it back revealed the most amazing mix of history, solid maple on top and wormed oak on the upper drawers. Giving it this rich, warm stain felt like bringing an 180-year-old story back to life.

Stay tuned to see this shade pop up on my feed again and again.

It seems to be table season over here! Pieces always seem to come in waves—either all tables, all chairs, or all dressers…
Anyway, I’m super excited about my first scalloped table! This table is solid birch and was originally finished in an amber lacquer. I stripped it back and gave it a soft, natural finish using a few coats of a very light paint wash and a super flat poly topcoat.
I do have chairs that go with this table that have yet to be refinished because… chairs!
