Creative Spaces by Amanda My name is Amanda. I'm an Interior Designer in Northern Virginia, as well as a wife and mom to 3. Hi there! then Visual Merchandising for Lord and Taylor.

I was born and raised in Annapolis, Maryland and have been living in the Fairfax, Virginia area since 2003. I have an amazing husband and 3 sweet kids ranging in age from 14 to 7. My professional career started in planning and merchandise allocation for American Easgle Outfitters. Once my second child was born I decided to stay home full time with my kids and work part time on the weekends. I have

always loved interior design and often helped friends and family decorate their home so I jumped at an opportuunity to work in a local furniture and design store. There I worked along side multiple interior designers who encouraged me to start my own business. This spring it will be the 6 year anniversary of Creative Spaces by Amanda. It has been an amazing journey and I am constantly learning and growing. I love meeting new people and helping them achieve their design goals. I truly believe that the small details are what pull a room together and make a house feel like a home.

Design Myth: You can’t mix metals in a room. 🚫 Design Truth: You absolutely CAN! 🙌🏼 This fun bathroom at shows how black and brass work beautifully together. The faucet even has a touch of brass on the handles. Then the patterned wallpaper paired with the textured rattan mirror adds even more contrast. ✨ Bathrooms are such a great space to have fun with design.
