Walk in pantry… ummmm yes please! 🙌🏼
I have never had a pantry this big and with 2 growing boys, I have a feeling it will fill up a lot more in the years to come.

For this space, I decided to use birch butcher block for the countertops. It’s such a great option when it’s finished correctly, and thankfully I’ve learned how to get that buttery smooth finish. If not done right, it can end up rough and difficult to keep clean.

One of my favorite things about this pantry is all the natural light pouring in from the kitchen windows. Between the hidden storage and open shelving, it gives us so much room to keep things organized while still feeling bright and open.

I have picked out a backsplash that we’ll install in these next few weeks. I’ll share what I picked soon.

Taking on an entire house is a huge undertaking, but I’m moving room by room and taking it one day at a time. There’s something incredibly satisfying about building this home and personally finishing each space. It feels like the closing chapter of Jay’s military career—and the beginning of our next chapter back home, where we plan to spend the next 20 years making memories.

This space sits just off the garage—the entrance we’ll use most often—so I knew it needed to be both beautiful and functional. I designed a large built-in to hold coats, shoes, and all the little everyday things that tend to collect by the door. Measuring 10 ft tall by 7 ft long, it definitely makes a statement.

I finished it in one of my favorite colors, Anew Gray by Sherwin-Williams, in a satin finish, and paired it with a white oak bench top to tie in with the other white oak finishes throughout our home.

Next up is the pantry—which might just be one of my favorite rooms yet. I can’t wait to share it soon, so check back.

I’ve had a productive start to the week and I hope you have too!

This kitchen island tops the list of some of the largest pieces I’ve built. This is measuring just a tad over 9 ft. long by 4 ft. deep. We knew we wanted a space where family and friends could comfortably gather, making it both functional and inviting.

I finished it in Tricorn Black by Sherwin-Williams and added two built-in trash cans- one at each end, for extra convenience.

I also coordinated the island sides to tie in with the shiplap fireplace, creating a cohesive look throughout the space. The quartz countertop gives the perfect contrast against the black finish and really makes the island stand out.

This is exactly what I wanted for this space and I couldn’t be more thrilled on how it came together. I’ll share more of the kitchen when I get it finished. I’m still working hard on the wall cabinets. 🙂

What a beautiful weekend we are having! I’m soaking up the last bit of sunshine before the rain rolls in tomorrow. ☀️

I thought I’d share our boys’ bathroom—a Jack and Jill space our two boys share. I’ve always loved shiplap, so I knew I wanted to incorporate it into their bathroom design. I painted the walls in Gauntlet Gray by Sherwin-Williams, which adds such a rich, classic feel to the space.

The vanity is red oak, just like our master vanities, and I used my paint wash technique to soften the red tones and create a beautiful white oak-inspired finish. I love how it all came together & made for boys who will grow into the space.

HAPPY FRIDAY!
I stopped taking custom orders at the beginning of the year so we could focus on building pieces for our own home. I started with the bathroom vanities to keep things moving and get the plumber in as soon as possible.

For this master bathroom his/hers set, I used classic porcelain tops paired with red oak hardwood cabinets. I created a custom paint wash that neutralizes the red tones, leaving a soft white oak finish.

I’m really loving the design on these—clean, timeless, and full of functional storage.

We haven’t just been building a house… we’ve been building everything inside it too.

All of the finishing work? That’s been us.

I’ve spent countless hours painting doors, building & finishing trim, stairs, shiplap—you name it. Jay’s been tackling tile work, flooring, electrical—and we’re even wrapping up the exterior paint ourselves.

This has been years in the making. A project we’ve dreamed about for at least 10 years, all while waiting for Jay to retire from the Army.

And now, I’m finally ready to start sharing it all! It’s been exactly 1 year since we started and it’s been a journey that I’m excited to be wrapping up. It’s been messy, fun, frustrating, exciting and all the emotions but in the end, memories have been made and we would do it all over again!

The time has come—our little project house is officially on the market.

Anyone who knows me knows how much heart and soul I poured into this home. It truly became a place we love, and I kept that feeling in mind while designing every single room.

We’re hosting an open house this Saturday from 10–12. Maybe this is the home you didn’t know you needed—or maybe you know someone who’s been searching for just the right place.

Please share the link and help this home find its next family 🤍

Everyone’s been wondering where I’ve been… well, I’ve been busy—really busy! We’re moving… again!

This time, we’re not going far—just up the road here in Clinton.

Jay and I are always pushing ourselves to see what we can accomplish together. It’s been a journey, and honestly, a couple of dreams checked off along the way. I always wanted to take on an older home and renovate it—and over the past two years, we did just that. Then came another big dream: building our own home. So last April, we went all in.

We pulled together an amazing team for the pieces we couldn’t do ourselves, and now we’re in the final stages—so close to move-in! I’ll start sharing more of what we’ve been working on in the new house soon.

At the same time, we’ve been getting our current home fully renovated and ready to sell. So… if you’re looking for a unique home on the north end of Clinton, keep an eye out—it’ll be hitting the market in about a week! 🏡✨

I love a good before/after photo and anything that has arches on it! We were able to get this awesome piece into place just in time for Thanksgiving at this home.

I custom built this from hardwood maple stained kona by Varathane. This measures in at 11ft. Long! I had to build it in 4 pieces that we assembled back together into place.

As I finish up the last few pieces for 2025 it makes me excited to see what you all have planned for me to create in 2026!

Hope you’re staying warm, I’m looking forward to a warm up next week and it’s only going to be in the 30’s 😅
