Last night, I stopped at Walmart after work to pick up a couple of supplies for my students to learn about sharing. 🎨🖌️
When I pulled into the parking lot, I looked up and the clouds were already so pretty. ☁️
I grabbed what I needed, headed back outside… and the sky had completely transformed. It was spectacular—pink and orange glowing across the clouds, with little hints of lightning flickering through the heat clouds in the distance. 🌅⚡️
With the recent passing of Dolly Parton, I couldn’t help but feel like maybe heaven was shining down a little extra last night. 💗✨
And honestly, it felt fitting.
This first week of school has been busy, fun, authentic, and just… amazing.
I finally have an art classroom. 🥹🎨
I’m building a new community.
I’m meeting students who are already teaching me things, too.
And I’m creating a space that feels like me—a place where creativity, curiosity, respect, and being yourself are welcome.
After everything it took to get here, there’s something really special about looking around and realizing…
This feels right. 🫶🏼
Maybe sometimes the sky gives us a little reminder to pause, look up, and appreciate exactly where we are. 💗☁️✨
