Hello Everyone,
It's been a while since I posted so please "Bear" with me as this may get a little long.

After several months of praying and soul searching, I have decided to close the Memory Bear chapter of my life. I have been overwelmingly blessed by all of you for your kind words, wonderful reviews and trusting me with your precious garments!

The end of November, after 15 years of working in the jail and dispatch, I was offered the position as Records and Civil Process Specialist. Although I am thrilled to be rid of 12 hour shifts, nights, weekends and holidays, I find that without the 4-5 days off in a row, I have very little time for sewing. What time I do have, I am going to spend with my first love, quilting. Including honing my long arm quilting shillls. I am also looking forward to spending more time in my little greenhouse and flowerbeds!

If anyone out there would be interested in learning how to make Bears, give me a shout. If you would like to start a business or just family or friends gathering to create Bears in memory of your loved one. I haven't figued out the logistics of teaching yet, just putting it out there!!

I have met so many wonderful families throughout the country. You all have a special place in my heart forever.

Sometimes in this life, events bring us together with wonderful people that touch our hearts! I made a large family of Bears in memory of their Mom/Grandma last Christmas. So much fun hearing stories of this lovely lady!

I got a message last spring that they had tragically lost a son/grandson at age 23. I was so honored that they trusted me to create Bears from his precious garments. The loss was still new as they told me how they would like each Bear created. Lots of tears and a few smiles sharing happy, loving memories of Cole!

I will not be taking any new orders at this time. It's been a crazy summer and I need to take some "ME" time. I still have many photos to post so you will hear from me from time to time.

This beautiful lady, my Mom, went home to the Lord this morning! What a glorious Sunday she is having!!
I will be forever grateful for everything she taught me. Especially all her patience teaching me to sew. It was a passion we shared for many years!!

I was recently diagnosed with kidney cancer. I feel very blessed and thankful that it was found at stage I. I have had a procedure done to freeze the tumor and am very hopeful that I will be just fine!
After much consideration, I have decided to put the Bear business on the back burner, at least for awhile. I need to slow down, not work every waking moment and spend more time with my family! Life is just to short!!
Thank you all for your support! It's been a wonderful experience making Bears from so many families all over the country!!
