Ever wonder about the massive clock tower overlooking Lincoln Highway? Built in 1909 for the National Bank of Coatesville, this architectural gem has a pretty cool local secret!

For decades, a local jeweler named Charles Trunk (and later his son, Calvin) climbed up there to hand-wind the massive clock every single day with a crank. They kept the city running on time until the clock was finally modernized to run on electricity in 1946!

Shoutout to the local history buffs over at The City of Coatesville for preserving these facts!
