HARDWOOD PLANKS
5/4 x 18” random width.

$40 + $15 ( freight)

As I hear more and more from woodworkers, especially beginners in areas like California, Texas, Florida where finding reasonably priced high-quality hardwoods is difficult. I’d like to share my offer.

Others do this type of thing but they’re mostly cut off and scraps and almost always less than an inch thick. I’m offering prime FAS graded hardwoods strips of various widths that will be cut just over 18 inches so they fit in the box almost all stock started at 5/4. We did run them through the planer joiner, but you’re gonna be able to mix and match and make a bare minimum three full-size superb quality cutting boards. Or also including at least three pieces of figured or exotic wood to make a focal point on each board. I’m gonna offer this for $40 and I will split the freight where the customer can just pay $15 and I’ll cover the rest.

Here’s a few pictures of what’s going into the boxes in a few pictures of what you could make.

Hardwoods may include any of the following; Maple, White Oak, cherry, walnut, teak, Hickory. You can expect to find either some spalted, ambrosia or curly pieces in every box.

We currently have good quantities of supercool curly maple and ambrosia maple.

For those not familiar, these are conditions, not a type of wood. Curl (Tiger stripe, quilting, etc) normally occurs when a straight growing tree becomes bent leaving creases.

Ambrosia is when a tree is rounded by a foreign piece of material or insect. Often beetles- the tree has self defense properties that often make interesting color changes and shapes around the affected area. Tapped maple trees for syrup are also common Ambrosia causes.

We currently have a good selection of both CURLY and AMBROSIA maple at reasonable prices.

Curly maple $10 / board foot.

Ambrosia (wormy) red maple on sale for $5 / board foot.

A board foot is 12” x 12” x 1”.
