These spindles have a history, about 100 years of it! I’ve participated in the SDTR Holiday Market since 2021 as well as volunteer for the non-profit. When the old caretaker’s house was demolished, I asked if I could have some of the spindles from the home. Thanks to the Director and Head of Facilities, I was gifted with about 20 of them! I’ll be selling these at the Nov. 8 Holiday Market this year and donating back 10% of the sales from any of the items I sell made from the spindles. These holiday character are $25.00 each.

I had so much fun creating these last year for the SDTR Holiday Market, I had to make some more! I discovered that I could sand off the color and repaint them to go better with the holiday color theme!

This year’s Market is on Sunday, November 8 at Southern Delaware Therapeutic Riding in Milton, DE. I’m blessed to be a vendor for the 5th year!

In May, I was given the opportunity have some of my crafts for sale at a local restaurant gift shop. At that time, it was 12 of my fruit painted wine glasses. For Fall and Christmas, I was given an order of 20 seasonal painted wine glasses and 12 painted pumpkin and scarecrow wood block! I feel blessed for the opportunity and now it’s full steam ahead getting ready for the annual SDTR Holiday Craft Fair!!

I know “4” sounds like she should still be a toddler, but how is it that she is now helping to create and make her own birthday outfit! 🥺 My heart is so joyful having her play with me crafting, but the realization of how fast the years go by makes me savor the days. Celebrating the baby that made me a Nana this weekend!! 🥳🎂🎉🎈
