No longer Yarn Oasis in the Mountains having gone beyond yarn.

We appreciate current followers and new ones. Focus on SWVA traditional fiber arts - sewing, knitting, crocheting, quilting, weaving and working together Tuesday evenings.

LOST QUILT ALERT! This quilt, Message From Atlantis made by Paula Ridley and measuring 35 x 42 inches, was lost in transit from another quilt show. Paula says this quilt took her over a year to make and she had planned to show it at the 2026 Asheville Quilt Show but UPS still has not recovered it!

Guest River Rally is bringing back the quilt show! The first annual Shirley Cassiday Quilt Show will be held in Lays Hardware Center for the Arts on Saturday September 5, 2026.

Entries welcome for judging and or display. Bed Turning is 3 pm in between music offerings.

During the pitch competition last night, I had the chance to share why this shop matters—not just as a business, but as a place where people come to create, connect, and sometimes even find a little piece of themselves again.

I’m so grateful to Avante and the Dickenson County EDA for this opportunity through the CBL Grant, and to everyone who has supported this journey so far.

I’m so excited to keep growing and bringing you more classes, more supplies, and more opportunities to create together.
