As a woman, business owner, proud Idahoan, mother of 6, and unapologetic evangelical Christian, I will be voting NO on prop 1.
Early voting is open in the Kootenai County area at the elections office Oct 19th - Oct 30th (Mon-Fri). Or vote on Election Day, Nov 3.
Q. Why post about it on your floral account?
A. Four reasons: 1) I am a living testimony that having children is hard work and takes much sacrifice, but I wouldn’t change it for the whole world. Being a faithful parent is one of the highest callings in life and offers a reward that I value more than gold. Life is valuable and beautiful and full of potential. My business is important to me, but life is more precious. Hard work is good.
2) Abortion isn’t just political, it’s MORAL. And everything I am and do is dictated by my morals and ethics - you will see this play out in how I run my business, so you might as well know upfront.
3) It’s SCIENCE. All the scientific community agrees that life begins at conception (Google it to prove me wrong). This is an established scientific biological fact acknowledged by religious and non-religious scientists alike. Abortion advocates are either science deniers, or are willing to preform a complicated moral acrobatic routine to make themselves feel better about taking innocent life unnecessarily.
4) I support that the government should posses the right to legislate against taking innocent life. It is in fact their place to say no to murder, and it’s inconsistent to think that this shouldn’t apply to humans in the womb.
Q. Do you believe in exceptions?
A. Firstly, the existing Idaho law already has built-in exceptions for r**e, in**st, and the life of the mother. I personally only support in the case of a true medical emergency that would jeopardize the life of the mother (which, interestingly enough, never requires an abortion. Other procedures are used and people conflate the terms all the time.) I believe all efforts should be made to save the life of the child as well as the mother, during this process. If unable to save the child, at least let them die with dignity. I do not believe that in the case of r**e and in**st the child should be executed because of the crimes of the father or parents. But my view on this changes nothing about what is already existing law.
Please join me in appreciating the beautiful things in life, flowers and babies alike. 🌼🌷👶🏻🍼💛
