“Things will calm down after this week,” I whispered, as 135 wooden ducks entered the chat. 🦆📦

Meanwhile, the front room is fully decorated, the Ralph Lauren-inspired Christmas tree is dressed in gorgeous fair-trade ornaments, and I’m apparently in charge of a very festive waterfowl distribution center. 🎄

Will I ever get my ducks in a row? Unlikely. Will they be ridiculously well accessorized? Absolutely.

Six years of feathering the nest—and we’re ready to celebrate!

October at Magpie has taken a delightfully dark turn—moody windows, a front table full of mysterious treasures, and a few skulls, crows, and spiders keeping an eye on things.

Think Dark Academia with a smidge of gothic humor. A little spooky, a little scholarly, and just cheerful enough to disappoint Wednesday.

Come admire the décor. The skulls don’t bite. They’ve retired. 💀
