There’s something I really love about this part of the process, the slow transformation from a pile of fabric and materials into something that eventually feels alive.

Although, I’ll be honest… making a bear requires a completely unreasonable amount of cutting and trimming.

A little different from what I usually share here.

I’ve been experimenting with bringing paint and chain stitching together, and this is the first piece I’m sharing from that process.

The painting was close, but it didn’t feel finished. So I took it off the frame and started chain stitching into it.

I’m not exactly sure where this takes me yet, but I’m enjoying figuring it out.
