It is with heavy heart that I announce the closing of Simply Quimby. 12 years of doing what I loved: creating, buying, and selling amazing products. From soaps to reloved items. We had some pretty big ups. And some little downs. We moved and moved again. We brought in vendors, made a space for you to create, and I poured my whole heart an soul into Simply Quimby.

But now it is time to hang up my brushes and continue with the spatula. I really thought I would be able to join the two together. But I have come to realize that I am only one person. 😳 Who knows maybe someday I will be able to mesh my passions together but right now my focus needs to be on my girls and the diner. It makes me sad to say good bye to all of you. So instead I will say Thank you!

Thank you for 12 amazing, wonderful, beautiful years! Chase your passions and never let anyone stop you from being creative!🎨🖌

Tossing out some feelers to see if anyone is interested in learning how to run their own ceramic business? I have over 10,000 molds (obviously a beginner wouldn't want all to start, but maybe?) As well as all the supplies to start up. Pouring table, kiln, slip tank, all the cleaning tools, paints, glazes, and accessories.

I am interested in passing this tradition on to someone else who will love it as much as I have. I honestly don't think I will be able to do it again so why not pass/sell/train it onto someone who will?

Its been a little while so here is an update for all you..I am putting it all out there..

Its been tough since my Mom passed. Everything Simply Quimby was done with her. From video chats, endless photos sent, and her expert advice on what to do next. Stepping into the barn, the Coop and to pour ceramics just isn’t the same. It was my dream, her dream, our dream together. And its the hardest thing to walk it alone, without her opinion, helping hands, and passion to make things.

The fate of Simply Quimby is unknown as I chase another dream, the diner. I am still doing the wooden projects, still have the subscription group, and plan to revisit the ceramics in the future. But for right now, this moment, I need to step back from Simply Quimby.

My goal is to be able to bring the two dreams together at some point. Because you know me I am not one to give up. But for right now my attention is on the diner.

So here is to chasing a new dream, walking a new path, and never giving up! ♥️

If you haven't heard we are opening a diner in Dassel! The girls and are super excited to be able to do this!

You will still be able to order wooden rounds from the website of Simply Quimby. And I am working on some other great things for us here and there!

Our theme for May is Butterflies! You can join us in the subscription group each month for new and exciting projects. We paint a different project each week! They come with or without the paints.
