📚🌸 WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A GARDEN, TWO BOOKS AND A FAMILY’S LOVE COME TOGETHER? 🌸📚
This past Sunday, we had the absolute pleasure of designing two one-of-a-kind floral pieces for local author Annie Frances’ book launch party in Oconto! 💐📖
What made this celebration even more special was how it all came together. 🥰 Annie’s daughter, Kassandra, had fallen in love with Zak’s page, The Flower Barden (our little play on Flower Garden using our last name, Barden🌸) After seeing the beautiful work Zak has been creating in our gardens, she asked us to bring a little bit of The Flower Barden to her mom’s book launch party.
And I have to brag on my husband for a moment ❤️…I am SO incredibly proud of Zak and the time, hard work and love he has poured into completely transforming our gardens! Watching something he has worked so hard to create become the source of these beautiful blooms, and then seeing Annie’s face light up when she received these meaningful pieces from her family and children — was truly incredible!😊
Both arrangements were designed with lots of love, and premium, locally grown stems straight from The Flower Barden, including dahlias, hydrangeas, zinnias, celosia, cosmos, thistle and more🌿🌸
📖 For The Treasure of the Thistle Tree, we incorporated branches, thistle and hidden “treasures” inside the vase…marbles, stones, keys and other curious finds inspired by the whimsical artwork on the book’s cover🔑💙
📖 For MoChePo: Becoming Home, we took the literary theme quite literally and created the arrangement on an actual open book, making it look as though the flowers were blooming right from its pages🌸📚
And because we felt regular enclosure cards just weren’t going to cut it for these arrangements 😂, we created tiny miniature versions of the books to serve as card tags for each piece! 📚❤️ We intentionally left blank pages inside so guests at Annie’s book launch party could sign them and leave little messages — turning the miniature books into keepsakes for Annie to remember such a special day. 🥹
From flowers grown right here in The Flower Barden, to hidden treasures, blooming book pages and miniature books for guests to sign, we had SO much fun dreaming up every detail of these designs.
Congratulations, Annie, on this exciting new chapter! Thank you for allowing Coleman Floral | BloomHouse23 and The Flower Barden to play a small part in such a special celebration🤍📚🌸
