This morning, I received a very intimidating, foul message regarding one of our trucks pulling out in front of them. Let me state a few things

Nobody sets out to have an accident. If someone pulls out in front of you, rest assured they didn't see you.

If, when they pull out and are going 20 mph it's not intentional, trucks can't pull out that quick. No need to ride their bumper screaming profanities at them and threatening them.

Lastly, just because we are a business doesn't mean you can call, leave a nasty, profanity laced message and think we are going to call you back and grovel.

Respect gets respect.

The holidays are approaching.

The day after a holiday celebration we, almost always, get a call from someone asking how to get wine or sauce out of carpet. Here’s what to do.

BLOT out the spill. DO NOT rub it out. You’ll only spread it. Use a spot cleaner or even a wet dry vac using steaming hot water or club soda to rinse it. Pour it in and extract. DO NOT use the traditional cleaners sold, in store, for carpet cleaning. Those cleaners leave a residue that attracts dirt and brings on those dark spots that reappear.

If the spot doesn’t come out call a professional steam cleaning company to clean it. It’s worth it to lengthen the life of your carpet.

A lot of times we replace carpet because it looks old and dirty before the carpet is actually worn.

For hardwood….try to avoid guests wearing spiked heels. That’s the second most popular call we receive. That can not be fixed without refinishing or replacing boards.

Frequently, customers come to me needing to replace one bedroom and feeling they would have to replace all bedrooms for the best look.

A hardwood upper hall makes the transition between hall and bedrooms a great look. It eliminates pile height differences or dye lot differences at doorways.
