Flower Shop Clerk
Part-time position
Flexible days, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Flower Shop Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, has excellent communication skills, and is comfortable working in a busy floral shop and greenhouse environment.
Responsibilities & Requirements:
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers with floral and plant selections
• Answer phones professionally and communicate effectively with customers
• Operate a point-of-sale (POS) register and accurately process transactions
• Process and clean fresh flowers, including removing foliage and preparing flowers for display
• Water, rotate, and care for plants and flowers
• Wash and sanitize flower buckets and maintain a clean, organized work area
• Help maintain a clean, welcoming, and well-organized shop and greenhouse
• Assist with general shop duties and keeping floral and plant displays looking fresh and attractive
• Must be comfortable lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds
• Comfortable working around our friendly shop cat named Chester
• Ability to work efficiently and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Dependable, friendly, and willing to learn
• Previous floral, retail, greenhouse, or customer service experience is a plus
