Owner Kristen Stevens brings many years of experience to her long-running framing business, having first worked at an art gallery and framing shop at the age of 16. Starting on her own in the historic Axe Factory in 1998, then moving to 101 Main Street in Collinsville, Stevens moved her business and her home up the street to the Swedish Lutheran Church on Center Street. She works with archival quality materials and is knowledgeable in all areas of conservational care to ensure proper protection. Collinsville Framing also offers additional hours by appointment, on-site consultation, free quotes, picture hanging, delivery, and has an art restoration expert on hand for damaged works and cleaning. Collinsville Framing has competitive prices ranging from budget all the way to exquisite handmade finished corner framing. This is why I strongly recommend keeping valuable (sentimental and monetary) artwork, documents, photographs, textiles, etc out of direct sunlight, and not placed close to a/c & heating vents.

Bonus points to John Hancock for not using a black sharpie to sign the Declaration of Independence, and instead, choosing archival ink combined with bold sweeping strokes of the goose quill. đŸ˜‰
