I present to the feed: the Yarnspirations Kitty Cat Couch!

Long time, no post. Life is busy, but I'm still finding time to make things somehow.

This project took me the better part of 9 months to finish because of school and work obligations. Also, I learned that cutting cushion foam by hand is a sensory nightmare. By no means is it technically perfect, but it was instantly Archer's new favorite spot to lay, meaning that it truly is perfect because he loves it.

The yarn is all acrylic, but a variety of brands. This was a big stash-buster project for me, and I'm really proud of how it turned out. No, I'm not making another one for a loooooong time.

It's been a long time since I've posted a finished project. Between being a full-time student, working, and mental health challenges, it has been difficult to sit down and make things.

This lil friend isn't perfect, but it feels good to finish a project 100%. What should I name them?

Teal yarn is Big Twist from Joann and green yarn is Mainstays from Walmart, both acrylic.

Cat Fest came to Colorado Springs today, so I made a couple of hats for myself and my partner to wear. So many people gave me compliments on my hat, I'm tempted to set up a booth to sell them at the next Cat Fest in Denver this November. What do you all think?

I'm finally cracking into my backlog of unposted finished pieces... I hope you all enjoy!

This is Ocean Breeze Mandala Extended Version, pattern by Renata Saj on Ravelry, yarn is Cotton Kings Sultan in Azurite from Hobbii.

I used a 2.5mm hook and around 32 hours of love to bring this piece to life. This 30" diameter piece is currently hanging on the wall above the TV in my bedroom. I love seeing my craft every day!

Long time no post - sorry friends! My soul got sucked away by a job that just wasn't worth it, and crochet was left behind for a while. But I decided my mental health is more important than burnout.

To celebrate picking up the hook again, I made a turtleneck for Archer! He wasn't necessarily happy with me putting it on him, but he didn't hate it while he was wearing it, either. I think I might bust this bad boy out for him in the winter when he wants to go on adventures in the snow.

I have a queue of them stacked up from as early as April of 2022 that I've been wanting to post, but taking photographs of my finished pieces to make them pop the way they do in person is something I still need more practice with.

So, for now, here's another WIP I'm whipping up to start 2023 off in a way that makes me happy! Neon rainbows!

Halloween has always been one of my most favorite days. Any day for me to wear a costume or a fun hat is a good day. So of course I had to whip out a few cute hats for the occasion!

Crochet is such a beautiful tool to use when you need to work out conflicting emotions and organize your racing thoughts. The hook just seems to fly through my hands when I've got a lot on my mind...

I started this morning, and I'm only about a third of the way through this pattern, but I'm already obsessed with the way its working up. I'm so excited for the color to start changing. Soooooooon.

Sometimes, life takes some unexpected twists and turns, and you just gotta deal with whatever comes your way.

This is my lil octopus friend, Oswald - named for childhood nostalgia. Oswald helped me work through some intense conflicting emotions that have popped up due to some of those unexpected twists. Thanks, Oswald!
