Oh man I struggle so much with this. I know it’s what holds me back on creativity. But how else can great things come about if we’re not afraid to at least try? My motto with my wife is “Instead of what’s the worst that can happen? What’s the best that can happen?” I need to adopt my own motto.

Who else struggles with this or is it just me?

I love how the carving turns out when I do it but sheesh it takes so long to do. This forces me to slow down which I need more of in my life. I broke my leg back in December 2025 and it has been slow to heal. I’m frustrated and exhausted with it. But that’s part of life. How do we handle the bad/rough seasons along with the good ones? Do we try to rush through them? (I know I do) Or do we try to learn during them and trust in our Creator?

Sometimes I have these thoughts in my head and this is one that actually came pretty darn close to how I envisioned it. Not every project turns out how I want it to or how I thought it would look.
