Time for a little TMI! 😉 Senior year of high school: I’d just started dating Chrysti (she was a junior and way out of my league). Graduation itself? A blur. But that graduation celebratory family dinner—now that’s unforgettable.

Picture us at a fancy restaurant, relatives everywhere, when across the table, Chrysti kept playing footsie and sending me “the look.” 😏 All the speeches and cheesy grad moments faded, but those secret signals! Burned into my memory.

And that’s the magic and story behind “Atomic Anniversary”—capturing that spark, that playful connection, and the kind of love that makes the whole world fade away (even if you’re sandwiched between awkward toasts and mashed potatoes). George and Jane are simply celebrating what we all hope for: love that lasts, surprises us, and makes even family dinners an adventure. 🥂💞

Throwback to The Jetsons! 🚀 This is the one of four recent Jetsons pieces I’ve created, and I’m calling this one “Daddy’s Home.” Inspired by that heartwarming moment when Dad comes home from work, the kids finish their schoolwork, and Mom (who’s always working!) brings everyone together to celebrate the day. The heart of this piece titled “Love Seat” is simply spending time together with the love of your life! One of my favorite ways to relax is cuddling on the couch with my wife Chrysti, drinking something fun (usually red wine), talking and watching TV. And no matter where we are on the couch, we always have to be touching feet- there must be contact :) I’ve found in my life, no matter what kind of day it was or whatever obstacle I’m facing, there is peace, comfort and hope in that special time together. I hope when you look at this piece it brings to mind how special those we love are and even doing the simplest of things is made extra special when you’re doing them with the one you love.

I still remember my last first kiss with my amazing wife Chrysti. It was 1987 and the first time we went out on a “kind of” date. I was a senior and she was a junior at Air Academy high school. I couldn’t wait until the weekend to go out with her, so I asked if she wanted to go to “help night” at school on a school night. Help Nights were when students could meet up with teachers at the school library at night to get help on schoolwork. We spent hours that night talking and laughing and getting to know each other. When help night was over and they closed the library I didn’t want the night to end, so I took her driving on dirt roads around the foothills in Colorado’s Springs. I was having the best time.

When I finally had to take her home, so she wouldn’t get in trouble, I parked my yellow Mazda GLC station wagon and walked her to the front door. I had the best night getting to know this new amazing person who was literally going to change the rest of my life. When we reached the front door, we looked at each other (just like in the movies) and I asked her if I could kiss her good night. Her response was “Well I should hope so”! And I had my last first kiss with my future amazing wife Chrysti. The heart of this piece is remembering and celebrating when you find that special “perfect for you someone” who takes your breath away and you have your last first kiss!
