First day back to school
The silence is deafening
Somebody used all the butter now I have to use cold, hard butter on my toast - I just LOVE that for me

Plans for today include embracing the silence and deep cleaning the summer away
Tackling the questionable spots on the couch
Throwing away any science experiments taking place in the fridge and pantry
With the goal of turning this house into a showroom as though no one lives here

All the while, playing at home jury with day three of the Lindsay Clancy trial.

Sappy post warning
Another chapter is closing. Summer is about over and I am flooded with mixed emotions.

My first full summer with the kids as a single parent without a corporate job and responsible for a small business was…interesting. We didn’t get to have endless fun and did plenty of business….but our crew helped us make memories. The next week is a sprint of blessed opportunities

Tonight - adult time with other adults 💅
Tomorrow - last lake day & BBQ of the summer ⛰️
Weekend - last minute BTS to do’s 🏫
Next week - back to school, we get our Katy for a few days and finally giving the kids the promise I’ve been promising for two years. The clue is in this post. 🥹
It’s been tough for months but we survived. The next season is more challenging and more exhausting and likely to break me but I’m ready.
