One of our community members, .dana , is showcasing in ! Her work is gorgeous, so make sure you go check her out.

Here’s more info about Dana:
Dana is an artist working in custom art glass, copper foil, fused glass, and mosaic glass. She works with clients to design, construct, and complete beautiful art glass to fit their needs and complement their lifestyles. Her work is represented in countries worldwide, and she achieved many awards and acclamations from artistic groups and organizations. She’s worked in glass for over 26 years and it is a source of never-ending learning and joy. She hopes that she can create something of beauty for you.

I want to give a big shoutout to Tencha, who drove up from El Paso, Texas to Colorado Springs… WITH HER KILN! She gave me the opportunity to teach her the basics of fusing glass, as well as how to program her kiln.
She’s been doing stained glass for awhile and just bought a Cress Kilns & Furnaces at the Glass Craft & Bead Expo wanting to get into glass fusing. Annnnd then the learning curve hit. Most fusing instructions use a lot of technical terms and make things waaayyyy more complicated than they need to be. I told her I had broken down the basics into easily understandable terms. She trusted me to impart that knowledge, and I am so honored that she chose The Glass Collective for this.

We loaded her kiln back into the truck, along with some pretty glass of course 🤭, and she’s now armed with the basics to start her fusing journey in earnest.

It’s been insanely busy, but I love that so much of my time is getting to teach.
Look how amazing all of them did! I’m so happy when students complete their project and fully realize how difficult but beautiful this afternoon is.
