Another fun time last night - - - a couple of empty chairs due to illness and we hope they are feeling better. We had 2 delicious choices of yummy cake ( yellow with chocolate frosting and chocolate with chocolate frosting !!! ) made by our favorite baker to celebrate Mary returning to us. She has been thru a lot of trauma from a fall, but like the rest if us, she is tough and resilient and back painting. We were all happy to see her. We still miss Kristen but hear she is doing the best she can. We had baby news from the Nana of Mr. Perfect

Another good time last night - - we are watching a romance blossom and offered advice, we painted, we laughed and cried ( LOTS of tears ) - some for sad memories of people we have dearly loved and lost, some looking at old pictures of childhood and time we can never get back, and then tears of pure happiness because we have a first time Nana in our circle after a long, long struggle. We cover it all with affection and solidarity in our little tribe. We celebrated Nadine's birthday with wonderful downeast blueberries (maybe the best cake i have ever eaten !!!), we are all exhausted for different reasons, we all think the world has gone nuts but for those few hours we could be our true selves and relax with no one making demands on us. We needed it and left feeling better for having spent time together. And we got a few things finished too

Great time last night - - only 1/2 a house - - everyone finds better things to do sometimes. I am compiling a system of last minute ladies that can squeal into the driveway at a moment's notice or maybe a first come, first seat plan. Nothing appears to be foolproof. Maybe closing one week a month, maybe closing for the winter or maybe just doing craft fairs, or maybe taking my husband's advice and closing her up completely. All of these things are rolling around in my head but nothing sticks. And maybe it's just because i have property taxes due, had to buy oil, had to buy mud and i got my insurance bill yesterday ( with a healthy increase) that I feel the wolf knocking at my door. I am taking everything into consideration and will hang on until the end of the year anyway. I have faith that something will work out because i love my job and my ladies. We had a small crowd but a big time. We laughed and talked, no treats, we have baby news we are anxious to share when the time is right, we solved crimes and dispensed advice and had a really nice evening. We only finished 2 projects and only got pictures of one of them

It has been crazy busy with my patient, work, estate sale and blah blah blah - so i just realized I missed the Thursday class post ! And it was a great night too - they celebrated my birthday with a delicious lemon cake ( EXCELLENT !) made by the best baker i know ! And she also gave me the perfect gift that i absolutely love - - something i have never received in all of my years of having birthdays. Something you will never, ever guess but perfect for me. Thank you Susan for taking such good care of me and of us all. We ate and laughed and had a delightful time as always. Look what got finished

Great time Thursday night - still a few empty seats but we are formulating a plan to fix that. We had a great time - it was my birthday eve and i got to spend it with people I enjoy. We had lots of laughs and stories and opinions. We also got some things finished - look how beautiful they are

Another fun time last night with only a 2/3 of a full house. I know you all have other things to do but i also know i could have filled 3 of those 4 empty chairs last night and those 3 ladies are quite upset. (they are probably calling me names behind my back this morning). I have discussed this with my problem solver and we are trying to come up with an imperfect solution. I will let you know how that works out. It will take effect the first class in October - we do know that much. Those of us that were there celebrated Lona's birthday with a delicious, homemade chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting - that seems to be the choice of a good percentage of our birthday girls. ( except for Linda - - she says that is a waste of a perfectly good chocolate cake - she got booed for that statement ). Whatever kind Susan makes for us is always top-notch, beautiful and yummy ! We got a lot of stuff finished, had some good stories, some crabbing, gun shots, lots of laughter and cake and ice cream ! Oh, and some "secret" good news - - not my news to tell but i am so happy about it.. I'll give you a hint - - it's a baby - and not me or Linda or Susan !

Another crazy and chaotic fun time last night - almost a full house, There was romance in the air ( undetected by most), a red velvet birthday cake for Jean ( it was super DELICIOUS - thank you Susan), ice cream to go with it ( LOTS of ice cream. Thank you Kim
